Siblings

Siblings have been on my mind a lot lately. LB has one on the way, my brother D just got a good job and is off to Africa on something completely separate in January as a photographer/ videographer, my brother S is having all kinds of trouble with high school girls (ick) and is busting his butt to finish school by December.

My brothers are 8 & 9 years younger than I am, but ever since I moved away we stopped fighting and they are two of my closest, most trusted friends. D and I chat via IM nearly every day, and lately he's been asking for my advice on a lot of design-related stuff for web sites he's creating. That he asks for and takes my advice is just... so cool. :)

I feel badly for S... he had a crush on this girl for 2 1/2 years and they were friends, of sorts, but yesterday he found out there's no way she'd ever go out with him. He doesn't seem to be sad, though, he just slips right into anger and what a bitch she is. I guess anger is better than grief, especially when he's so far from family, but... man, am I ever glad I'm not in high school anymore. He'll be finished soon enough, I suppose, and then finally, finally all of my family will be back in Canada where we belong.
