On Wednesday I wrote that I felt it was a lucky day. And it was. One of the front ball joints on Tomek's car chose to break and the corresponding wheel chose to fall off while he was slowly turning into a driveway, not while he was driving on the highway.
I think his initial thought was to repair the car yet again. But then we talked about it and agreed that it was time for his car to go. For his safety and for the good of our pocketbooks. So now he's driving my car and I am sans car during the day. It's going to take some getting used to, some thinking ahead and planning, but not only do we not have to pay to fill that gas guzzler with premium gas anymore, but we also won't have to pay for Tomek's car insurance. So we should save a few hundred dollars a month. And if I have to take the occasional cab to my prenatal appointments, then fine.
