points of time flying

I see them all, the writers, publishers, editors, painters, photographers, a mix of all of those. Artists making it happen. And I sit here making nothing happen. Making a lot happen. Raising a daughter. Everything is pointless next to her. Where is something meaningful, something to be passionate about that could possibly compare to her? Perhaps I gave birth too soon. I'll never regret that if it's true. Another time, another instant, a different child.
But still I want something more. But a sense of accomplishment cannot come without millions of minutes of work that might seem pointless, pointless points of time that come together to form meaning.

Is it possible to think something not thought before, to create something not yet seen. Or are all new ideas spin-offs of those already thought. Is everything we create just our interpretation of something someone else has already done?

What could I create. Ideas come every day, but how to begin, when to begin, if not now.

Is a solitary success possible. How important are other people in our lives to make our dreams come true.

* * *

oneword: yesterday

yesterday is far away so quickly. i never think of today as a yesterday until it's over. never think of it as "today is a new yesterday". i need to make my yesterdays count for more than just another day gone by till the weekend.

the others around you are essential to any success you might have. somedays i write just so when i make it big one day i can see that look in amy's eyes that let's me know she is proud of me.

also, there is nothing as important as lily. everything else is just extra. as far as the time spent making other things happen, well, there will come a time when lily is not so dependent, when she doesnt need you every second of every day. there will come that time when she is flying, een if its just for short periods, by herself. what will you do with those "free" moments?

Yes, it is just very difficult to do this. The person who invented the wheel, that was fairly revolutionary in terms of a new idea. Now it is a matter of coming up with something as revolutionary. Was it easy for that first person? I doubt it.

even if a thought is in the same sphere as someone else's i believe that like a snowflake it is yet different and unique.
after all..the eyes of the mind that thinks it has seen different things.
