Since Tom's car died and I think it is well deserving of retirement rather than yet another quick fix, we are down to one vehicle. This wouldn't be a problem at all, even though it means I'm without a car during the day (and, now that he's totally overwhelmed at work) and evenings... except it's raining ALL THE TIME. It takes LB about 2 hours in the morning and she's going stir-crazy. I can't blame her. As I type this, she's brought both her shoes from the front hall and placed them on my chair behind me. No, now they are on the desk, on the keyboard. I guess I'll take this as a not-so-subtle hint. We need to get OUT of here. NOW.

Ok, back from our walk, thoroughly soaked. What I was trying to get at in the above post was that for us, having one vehicle really doesn't work. If I had my car during the day, I could run errands or just go to Ikea or the mall and let LB run around. Walking outside is fine...but sometimes I just really don't want to go for a walk in the rain.
I know we have no $ for another car payment. So I'd have to look at finding some work. But should I really be doing that now? I don't know. Tomek is probably making some work-related changes in the new year, so maybe there will be the opportunity for him to get some kind of work vehicle. But until then... rain.
