Apparently placenta previa is not supposed to be accompanied by any pain. If anything goes wrong, there will be bleeding. I have not bled, but I had to come home from the park with LB because it hurt to walk, crouch, and lift her. I could go into detail about where it hurts, but I won't. I'm worried enough that I left a message for my doctor, they are on lunch till 1 p.m now of course. I was reading different articles on the internet trying to see if pain is associated with placenta previa at all, and the only thing any of them really said that would be painful is if the placenta starts separating from the wall of the uterus. But I assume there would be bleeding, too. Maybe this is some kind of deep muscle ache I never felt with LB, but it's deep enough and in the right area that I'm worried I may be over-doing it on the activity. But how can I do any differently when LB needs to get outside in the fresh air a couple times a day?
I read this page on placenta previa, and it totally freaked me out at the end: In cases of placenta previa, the prognosis for the mother is very good. However, there is a 15-20% chance the infant will not survive. This is 10 times the death rate associated with normal pregnancies. About 60% of these deaths occur because the baby delivered was too premature to survive.
I think I'll just stop reading and wait for someone to call me back.

The doctor's office called me back and had me page the doctor on call. I did, she called me back and I'm going in tomorrow at 11:10 to be assessed. She said its likely that because it's my second pregnancy, the uterus could have dropped already and be making things uncomfortable.

You are in my thoughts! My grandmother had placenta previa with my uncle and he turned out fine (and that was over 50 years ago).
yeah, just pray and wait for the phone to ring, sis.
