I thought my brother was going emo, from a recent email in which he replied to my question of what his new hair cut is like: Longer. Straighter. More in the eyes. More emo.
So I asked him, are you going emo? His reply: I'm not going emo. I'm going punk.
Now my next question is, should I be relieved?
Well, I'll be spending the next week with him, first in K-town with my parents, and then he'll be back in Bongcouver with me for a few days. Maybe I can get underneath all the teenageredness and down to what is really going on. He and I used to be really close, I hope we can be again. I miss the little bugger.

i like punks. i dont like emo kids. its nothing personal, i just get pissed at people who are playing at being sad because its the in thing to do.
Agree. Punk trumps emo any day. The Stooges could destroy My Chemical Romance with one drum break and a power chord.
My guess is that as soon as your bro emerges from his teens, you guys will reconnect. At least that's how it went down for me and my siblings. Now that we're all past that crap, we're all pretty tight again.
