We made good time to K-town this afternoon. LB slept for 3 1/2 hours
of the trip, and then played happily for the remaining 1/2 hour. We
arrived at 9 p.m. I felt lucky, but at the same time dreading tonight,
knowing that she probably wouldn't be tired for a long time. And I was
right. This time, it wasn't that she wasn't tired, because she WAS.
She was snuggling up, sucking her thumb, her eyes were drooping and
the whole deal. But time after time she'd be almost asleep and then
suddenly she'd flip over on her tummy and be on all fours, and then
sit up. GAH. This went on for the last 1 1/2 hours I think. I couldn't
very well put her down and just let her cry herself to sleep because I
knew something wasn't quite right--she was TRYING to fall asleep but
something was preventing her. I'm totally impressed with myself that I
didn't cry or freak out or get annoyed at her at all. I just waited it
out. and waited. and waited. And now she's asleep. I'm so freaking
tired that I'm beyond tired. i'm numb. Turns out it must be her teeth
because I gave her a soother and she chewed the crap out of it and
then fell asleep sitting up, leaning sideways against me. Weird. But
hopefully she's down for the night now.
I miss Tomek. 4 more days and 4 more nights till I can be with him
again. I guess I'll go get the first night over with now...

I can't believe she's able to stand now.... (just peeking at her blog). she is getting so big!
