this, that and the other

Lily has turned into quite the livewire. Her new bedtime is 1 a.m. But she likes to sleep in till 10 a.m. so I seem to always get 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Tomek always stays up to keep me company (which I love!) and hang out with his girls, but lately that's been taking a toll on him because he doesn't go to bed till 1 then he gets up at 6 for work. So now we are trying to slowly switch Lily's bedtime so it's earlier. We are doing this by waking her up a bit earlier in the morning. Today I woke her up at 9, tomorrow I'll wake her up at 8 and we'll see how we go. Thing is, she's a very stubborn sleeper, so if she wants to sleep, she sleeps. I guess we'll have to wait and see how successful we are.

I still haven't made any decisions about work, though I did get invited to the company Christmas party. I don't think I'll be going though because I'll have Lily with me and the dinner is always at a very posh restaurant where this famous chef cooks for us (he's buddy buddy with the vp) and everyone drinks lots of wine. But I should stop in before then I suppose. Sigh. I just really don't want to.

Tomek and I have a new idea for next summer... 3 of his cousins are getting married in Poland so we might just go and try to catch 2 of the weddings. My mat leave is up at the end of June, so if the weddings are after that I guess I won't be going back to work at the same place because I can't ask for vacation time right after a year of mat leave. So we'll have to wait and see when the weddings are. But regardless of where they are, we are going to make a stop in Toronto for a few days before heading to Poland to visit my family... and a certain someone and her bebe. :)
