Nose prints, memories removed

My old blog is no more. Some of you knew me from there, but I doubt any of you knew that it started with meeting Tom.

Because I trust you all, and I know that no one dangerous has access to me here, I share with you one of my first posts, and the link:

January 21st, 2004:

last night i went for a long walk. and a talk. a real talk. not the kind where i have to monitor what i say to make someone else happy. the kind with laughter. the kind where i can say what comes to mind without worrying about the consequences because there are none. because i was with a friend. and this friend eased some of the heaviness in my heart and in my head. what power a person can have, when they have the ability to be interested in what others say, not so they can counter it and spout off their own opinions before the other person has finished what the had to say, but because they care, and because the person they are listening to matters to them... matters enough that they can let the person verbally puke all over them if the must.
and we laughed. and joked about leaving nose prints on the windows of unsuspecting houses. but i chickened out. we tripped through trees till we found a park and then we played.
we were glad to have met each other and perhaps we'll keep in touch. we spoke of meeting again sometime.

That was my day-after reflection of the night I met Tom. I've removed all the other posts, but I've left one recent memory of us, for you to enjoy.
